Get started with personal homecare assistance from Helping Hands

Learn how our homecare works through our simple three-step process, designed to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Step one: Get in touch with the Helping Hands team

To make a referral, contact your nearest Helping Hands branch. A member of our team will be in touch as soon as possible to answer any questions and discuss next steps.

We have branches across Northumberland, from Ashington and Morpeth to Corbridge and Bellingham. Why not check your location by seeing where we offer homecare services in Northumberland?

Step two: Join a free, no-obligation initial assessment

Our initial assessments are delivered in the home of the service user. They are completely free and have no obligation.

The at-home assessment is an opportunity for our carers to assess your or a loved one’s needs and to ask any questions related to their personal homecare requirements. All of this information is then used to develop a bespoke care plan.

Step three: We build a tailored personal care plan

Our personal home care plans allow our carers to deliver the most appropriate and high-quality care to service users.

A tailored care plan outlines everything from the specific services required and ideal visiting times to chosen delivery methods and any useful information regarding preferences and personal notes. The care plan can also be adapted at any point.

Once approved, we can begin providing personal homecare as soon as you’re ready.
