If you’re new to the care sector, we’ll make sure you are fully prepared to meet the many different physical, social and emotional needs of the people you’ll help to look after. We’ll invest in your training, providing you with a structured development plan.
On joining Helping Hands, you will undertake a carefully planned and structured induction and training programme.
Your induction will begin with training in the classroom. You’ll learn about our organisation, its culture and what we expect from our team; you’ll all be coached on how to provide the best, appropriate care to a diverse range of users.
This is followed by our fully paid on-the-job training which allows you to put into practice many of the things that you learned in the classroom. Working alongside skilled, experienced carers you’ll experience some of the real-life scenarios and challenges you’ll face in your role.
Alongside the industry-leading training that we’ll provide, you will also receive your very own personal development plan. We’re committed to encouraging lifelong learning.
In addition to all of this, we will also provide training in specialist areas like dementia and learning disabilities to give you the relevant skills and confidence for you to develop and progress.
