Brain injuries have a traumatic impact on the individual concerned, as well as their loved ones. The aftermath is a stressful period and many people who are directly affected need round-the-clock brain injury support.
We provide nursing-led brain injury home care and rehabilitation. We have a track record of providing personalised brain injury care for many individuals with varying severities, from traumatic brain injury support to stroke care.
At Helping Hands, we work closely with families, specialists, rehabilitation centres, therapists and other organisations to tailor our support to meet the needs of the individual that we’re caring for.
We develop brain injury home care plans around existing routines. We’re often called upon immediately at the hospital discharge point to start and maintain rehabilitation on a day-to-day basis at the home.
Our skilled carers are trained to deliver medical support when needed. Our main areas of support tend to be centred around helping people with daily tasks; getting people out of bed and dressed, bathing, along with household tasks such as cleaning and preparing meals.
Our trained carers are also highly experienced in providing spinal home care for people affected by a range of injuries including quadriplegia and paraplegia. When you choose one of our carers for yourself or a loved one, you can be confident about their skills and understanding.
Your carer will support you with daily tasks as well as medical care so that you can continue to live in the comfort of your own home. Our spinal injury care plans are all bespoke and designed to provide the right level of flexibility and support each individual requires.
