Deb Elliot

Deb Elliot


Deb has a wealth of care experience, primarily gained in the NHS. A registered nurse with over 38 years’ experience, she qualified in 1981 at Hexham General Hospital and spent most of her working life working in primary care. She joined Helping Hands in July 2015 in the role of Clinical Lead responsible for exercising professional leadership and direction for all carers and staff.



Alison Dickson

Alison Dickson


Alison has worked in the care sector for almost 30 years, having worked her way up from a care worker in Helping Hands to become a team manager for the Cramlington area, and progressing to branch manager in 2017. She prides herself on delivering a care service that is well led, exceeds regulatory standards and is highly personalised and responsive.



Nicola Taylor

Nicola has always worked in health and social care and has held various positions including care assistant, care coordinator, assistant branch manager and then registered branch manager. “I was once told the standards you walk by are the standards you accept” and this is something she lives by, ensuring service users, staff and office team members have a caring, safe, and effective service.

Amber joined the organisation in 2016 after working as a HR professional within various other industries. She has a proven track record of successful delivery of a range of large and multifaceted projects including recruitment and selection, on-boarding, performance management, training development, and benefits through to the management of sensitive employment relations cases.
